On the afternoon of 26 November, a fire broke out at Wang Fuk Court, a public-housing estate in Tai Po, New Territories, Hong Kong, causing heavy casualties and touching the hearts of the entire community.
We extend our deepest condolences to the residents who lost their lives, express our sincere sympathies to the affected families, and pay the highest tribute to the firefighters and all rescue personnel who risked everything in the relief effort.
In immediate response to the disaster, CFG donated HK$100,000 to support emergency relief and living arrangements for our fellow Hong Kong citizens, turning concern into concrete assistance. Born and raised in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, we share an inseparable bond with the people of Hong Kong.
CFG will continue to monitor developments and provide further support whenever needed. May the injured recover quickly and may the community regain its warmth soon. CFG firmly believes that a company draws its life from society and must give back. In the years ahead we will remain steadfast in our corporate-citizen responsibilities, actively devote ourselves to public welfare, and—through every small act of kindness—work hand-in-hand with all sectors of society to build a better tomorrow.
